FINISH WHAT YOU'VE STARTED

So, you have just started something new.  Next thing you know, you just don't feel like finishing it.  Here's a few helpful hints to complete a project:

1. Understand your motivation.  Why did you begin this projects?
-You may need a poem or speech for school.
-You may need a painting for your girlfriend's birthday.
-You may wish to write a novel.

2. Decide if it really necessary.
-Perhaps you do not need it at all.
-Could you replace it with something else?
-Perhaps you do not wish to finish it.

3. Understand the due date.  Does this project need to be completed immediately?
-Complete small sections of the project over a certain period of time.
-Take a little break and come back to it once you're refreshed.
-Perhaps the project is sufficient without further detail.

4. Find motivation.
-Play some lively music to help move along.
-Repeat several times throughout the day, "I will finish this."
-Leave it in a place that you frequently pass by as a reminder.
-Reward yourself after completing a small section or after it is finally completed.

5. Ask for help.
           -Get another perspective.
-Ask someone to keep you company while you work on it.
-Find someone that will work on it with you.
